Julie Brown grew up in Spartanburg, SC and attended Spartanburg High School, graduating in 1981. She also attended The University of South Carolina and received a BS in Education. After college she taught school in Eastern North Carolina and then returned to Spartanburg to take a position as Physical Education Director for the YMCA.

She married Cameron Glenn Brown in 1990 and they are now raising two wonderful children: daughter Brandon (11) and son Cameron (8). The Browns came to Westminster in 1996 and Julie began working for Westminster as Coordinator of Children's Programs in August of 1997. She is now the Director of Children's Ministries for the church.
