Linda Creasap - Worship and Music Associate

Linda Creasap is the Worship and Music Associate and Director of Children's Music for Westminster Presbyterian Church and a music teacher at Pine St. Elementary School. She has been a member of WPC for 15 years and is originally from Meadville, PA. She is a graduate of Brownstown Central High School in Brownstown, IN. During high school she was involved in musicals, district and state choral competitions, all-state choir, received the Psi Iotal Xi scholarship to attend Indiana University music clinic and organized a girl's trio that performed throughout the community.

In 1975, she received her Bachelor of Science in music education from University of South Carolina, where she sang in the Concert Choir and was President of Delta Omicron, a music fraternity. After graduating from USC she performed in a girl's trio with a 40's Swing Band at Carowind's in Charlotte, NC.  After this she became the lead singer in "Mr. Midnight", a top 40's band that toured the east coast of the U.S.  In 1982 she received a Master of Education from Edinboro State University in PA.

Since graduating from college "Miss" Linda has over 20 years experience as a church choir director for both adult and children's choirs. She sings in the Praise Team at Westminster, directs the Kid's Inc. Choir, directs the church orchestra and assists the Director of Music and Contemporary Worship Leader.  She is also a composer of Christian music, and she has directed several children's musicals and talent shows. Recently, the WPC Kid's Inc. Choir had the opportunity to premiere a new Pam Andrews Christmas musical at a choral festival.  Locally, she has appeared in Spartanburg Little Theatre and Spartanburg Repertory productions. She is very busy as a mom of two boys; Brandon, who has graduated from Spartanburg High School, and Ryan, who is a Senior at SHS. Linda's husband, Mark, works for Michelin Tire, which gave their family the opportunity to live in France and to travel throughout Europe.
