Founded in 1963, Westminster Day School has been providing quality education for pre-school children for 45 years. Westminster Day School is a Christian pre-school for children six months through Kindergarten. It is our goal to help every child develop an understanding of God's love for them and provide children with the ability and desire to become self-regulated learners. We believe that this will promote greater self-esteem, a desire for continued learning and the ability to pursue knowledge in a manner that is relevant to each individual child.

To do this, we offer a complete learning curriculum in a Christian environment. The children are taught to listen, follow directions and think for themselves. Children in our 3 year old, 4 year old and Kindergarten classes follow a full curriculum which is aligned with the South Carolina State Curriculum Standards. This curriculum includes language arts, math and science, as well as, social, citizenship and spiritual development. In addition, we offer weekly chapel services, art, music and fitness classes, field trips and visits from people in our community to broaden our children's experiences.  WDS has been nationally accredited by NAEYC, the National Association for the Education of Young Children for 13 years. Currently, we are pursuing reaccreditation under the new accreditation system. We offer a "developmentally appropriate" program set in a Christ-centered community where each child learns in a supportive, safe environment.
