  • Jesus Christ is at the center of all church life at Westminster Presbyterian Church.  Worship, teaching, service, fellowship, and evangelism grow out of our joyful response to what God the Father has done in sending His Son to be our Savior and Lord.  Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we humbly stand on every promise that as we grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, we are being transformed into His likeness.   John 14:6, Acts 4:12, 1 John 3:2

  • We believe that all Scripture is the essential and trustworthy record of God’s self-revelation and the unfailing standard for our rule of faith and life.  In obedience, we seek to learn and grow under the authority of God’s Word.  This happens through faithful biblical preaching and teaching, as well as time spent in personal Bible study. 2 Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 4:12, John 14:21

  • By God’s design, we worship and glorify the living God and grow as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ in community.  It is in community where the people of God give and receive encouragement, develop and share gifts for ministry, and pray, love, and serve one another.  At Westminster Presbyterian Church, people from all walks of life are warmly welcomed, experience genuine Christian community, and find a place to grow spiritually and serve passionately.    Hebrews 10:25, Ephesians 4:12, Romans 12, 1 Cor. 12

  • A Christian’s response to a growing, thriving relationship with Jesus Christ spills over into serving others.  Following the compassion of Christ and His mandate given in the Great Commission, we seek to demonstrate God’s extravagant love by sharing the good news of the Gospel and serving those in need locally, nationally, and internationally.  Matthew 28:18-20, Galatians 6:2

  1. We will keep the main thing, the main thing – to glorify God.

  2. We will be there to spur and encourage one another. 
    We are created for relationships with God and one another.  We value these relationships and will invest our time and energy in building these relationships. Hebrews 10:24-25, John 1:14
     

  3. We are clay in the hands of The Master. 
    How loving and patient He must be, ‘cause He’s still working on me. Isaiah 64:8, 1 Peter 1:3-8
     

  4. We seek to love and live like Jesus. 
    “Keep company with God and learn a life of love.  Observe how Christ loved us.  His love was not cautious but extravagant.  He didn’t love in order to get something from us but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that.” Ephesians 5:1-2
     

  5. We seek to pass on an inheritance of faithfulness. 
    The greatest gift we can pass onto future generations is a Christ-like character and faith.  Deuteronomy 6:4-9, Hebrews 6:12
