AUGUST 23-24, 2025
Refresh is a church-wide worship, spiritual growth, and fellowship opportunity to encourage us to return and re-engage to be renewed and restored. Over these few days, we will experience worship, testimonies, teaching, and fellowship and we expect that this will be a time of Refreshing.
This year's theme: FOUND
In a reading of Luke 15, we find Jesus telling remarkable stories of 3 lost things being found: a coin, a sheep, and a son. Together, we'll rediscover the relentless, pursuing love of God and the delight in bringing the lost home.

SPEAKER
STEVE PINK | Steve loves any outdoor activity, but extra credit if it’s a sport. He graduated from UNC-Charlotte with a BA in history and is currently getting his MA in ministry. As a high school history teacher and football coach, he molded young minds both in the classroom and on the field. His passion for mentorship led him to Young Life, where he spent 17 years guiding teenagers toward hope and purpose. Steve is married to Katie, and together, they’ve raised three remarkable daughters. Steve serves as an area director with Search Ministries with its aspiration for every adult in every city to be invited to know and share Jesus. Their mission is to encourage adults to take their next step toward God, meeting them wherever they are on their spiritual journey.
We're delighted to offer a very special program for children during the main sessions on Friday and Saturday evenings. We'll have more info soon to share what the kids will experience together.
Please register using the info above to help us know if we can expect your child to participate!
And if you'd like to help with "Refresh for Kids," we could use some volunteers! Contact children@wpcspartanburg.org.

Objective: A church-wide worship, spiritual growth, and fellowship opportunity to encourage us to return and re-engage to be renewed and restored. Worship, testimonies, teaching, and fellowship will serve as the means of this time of Refreshing.
Premise: The ancient Israelites lived with sacred rhythms of days, weeks, months, and years. These spiritual disciplines reminded them to constantly return to the Lord in worship, prayer, thanksgiving, and petition. In the same way, we seek to observe weekly, monthly, and yearly celebrations that remind us to return and be restored by the Lord.
We will have family dinners on Friday and Saturday evenings, with worship led by our praise team and special speakers sharing God’s Word with us. We'll also be providing some special "workshops" on Saturday morning to further avenues for deeper discipleship. Volunteers are needed for set-up and clean-up as well. Please get in touch with the church office if you are interested in helping. Please register at our website so we can plan adequately.

Our theme will be FOUND. Luke 15 beautifully portrays God’s unwavering love and relentless pursuit of the lost through three parables from Jesus: the Lost Sheep, the Lost Coin, and the Prodigal Son. Each story illustrates God's deep compassion and joy in restoring those who have strayed. The shepherd leaves the ninety-nine to find one lost sheep, the woman diligently searches for her lost coin, and the father runs to welcome his repentant son. Together, these parables reveal God’s heart for redemption and the celebration in heaven when even one sinner returns to Him. By looking at these stories together, we will welcome God's heart for us - and those who feel "far from home."

Everyone will be invited to dinner! Our main sessions will have everyone together in the sanctuary and then we will dismiss K-5th grades to a special children's program. Of course, all ages are welcome in the sanctuary as we worship God and are challenged to grow together.
IF REGISTRATION HAS CLOSED (Jan 1, 1pm), please contact the church office if you're interested in dinner. But there's no registration needed to attend the program in the sanctuary.

Jesus invites each of us into a different kind of life - one where we live in step with the Spirit and bring his light into every shadow and dark corner. In this life, we rejoice and live in true freedom from sin and its effects on our world. Please pray for this invitation to be heard and received.
Pray that many will hear the invitation and say "yes" to Jesus and join him in his unique way of life. And that here - at Westminster - we will be a "home" for healing and an "outpost" for spiritual supplies as we are daily sent into our community.
Pray that our church experiences renewal and that each member of our community connects deeply with Jesus, his message, and his special community at Westminster.
Pray that small groups form and begin growing together.
Pray for families and marriages and God's work to bring unity, peace, and purpose in them.
