What's happening during Advent?

Advent is a season of preparation.  We are preparing for the "advent" - or arrival - of Christ into our lives and into the world.  When Christ comes into our lives, we are transformed. So we are preparing for transformation.  Come and experience the "word made flesh" and discover how God has truly lavished his love upon us!

Dec 1 - First Advent Sunday

Sunday worship (8:15am | 9:30am | 11am)  Communion served at all three services.

Advent Adventure (4-6 PM, Gym & Fellowship Hall) - A family-oriented event for children thru 5th grade where we make a craft, decorate cookies, hear the Christmas story and get supplies for more activities to do as a family during the Advent season.

Dec 8 - Second Advent Sunday

Sunday worship (8:15am | 9:30am | 11am) Communion served at all three services.

Service of Hope & Remembrance (6 PM, Sanctuary) - We enter into the season of Advent knowing both joy and loss.  For those carrying grief from loss of loved ones, relationships, careers, or health... we invite you to participate in this service of comfort and hope through the Holy Spirit.  Following this time, we will have a reception with refreshments in the Parlor (room 12).

Dec 15 - Third Advent Sunday

Sunday worship (8:15am | 9:30am | 11am) Communion served at all three services.

Dec 22 - Fourth Advent Sunday

Sunday worship  (8:15am | 9:30am | 11am ) Communion served at all three services.

Dec 22 - Christmas Night of Worship & Prayer  (6:00pm-7:15pm)

A celebration of Christ's coming with modern and prayer-focused elements.  We welcome all ages to participate in worship, but we will have childcare for young ones.  If possible, please RSVP for childcare.

Dec 24 - Christmas Eve  (Two services 5:30pm | 11pm)

Family Service (5:30pm) - A traditional retelling of Christmas with the help of some young storytellers.  Since we want all ages present in worship, there will not be childcare provided.

Candlight Service (11:00pm) - Traditional service with hymns, readings, and candlelight to mark the Christ-light arriving into the darkness.  No childcare.

Dec 29 - Sunday Worship  (8:15am | 9:30am | 11am)

We conclude our Advent series and set forth on the new life God has in store for us.   Communion served at the 8:15 service.
