Hello!  Thank you for checking out WPC and what we offer for children and families.  Our community is delighted to help children learn about our faith in Jesus Christ, while providing a safe and fun atmosphere to engage their growing young minds!  If you want to know more about what we offer or what to expect on a given Sunday, please contact our Children's Director, Becky Odum.

The mission of the Children’s Ministry Team is to teach our children the Word of God while equipping families to walk alongside them as they grow in their faith.

Note: In order to ensure safety of the children, volunteers, and staff, our Sunday Morning Children's Ministries look a little different.
Below is the schedule for January - February 2021

Sunday Morning (9:30 and 11:00)

Childcare and children's programming is being offered once again at the 9:30 am and 11:00 am services.  Will will continue to value the safety of your child and practice healthy distancing and mask-wearing per our cleaning protocols.

Nursery (birth - 3-year-old)

Parents will check in at the check-in kiosk by the Pineville Rd door. Masks are required for ages 3 and up.

Children’s Church (4K - 5th grade)

4-year-olds - 5th graders will begin worship with their families. Right before the sermon, they will be dismissed to Children’s Church. Masks are required for ages 3 and up.

It would be very helpful if you could let us know if your child(ren) are planning to attend so we can have enough supplies and staff.

Wednesdays at WPC

We are excited for Kid’s Inc. to start back up on February 3. There will be a family dinner in the gym from 5:30-6:15. At 6:15 children will be dismissed to go to their classrooms and can be picked up at 7:15.

Nursery (2 year olds and under)

Weather permitting, will go outside to play. If they cannot go outside they will play in a classroom.

Preschool (3 and 4 year olds)

They will begin in the classroom for a Bible lesson. After the lesson they will go outside or in a classroom to play.

Elementary (K - 5th grade)

They will begin in the Fellowship Hall for Bible and music time. We will then split into small groups for discussion time.

It would be very helpful if you could let us know if your child(ren) are planning to attend so we can have enough supplies and staff.

Prayer Partner Ministry

The Prayer Partner Ministry is a new ministry we are starting at WPC. We are praying that people who do not have young kids will sign up and pray for families with young children. We will then pair a young family with this person and ask that they will commit to pray for this family daily and even send little notes occasionally to the kids.  We are praying that this will not just be one-sided though. We pray that families will pray for this person as well and even send them little cards or notes and speak to them in church. We would love to see this ministry be one that brings generations together, encourages parents, and surrounds our kids with prayer!
