Vacation Bible School
VBS might look different this year, but it is going to be great!!
Join us for a virtual (and interactive) VBS the week of July 27!
Do you have some families you have been quarantining with? Invite them over and have them join your VBS (be sure they sign up though, so they can receive their own bag of goodies!)
Are you a high school youth or someone who loves kids but doesn’t have any VBS age kids? Host VBS in your backyard with some neighborhood kids (again, make sure everyone signs up)!
If you are not ready to get together with other families yet, that is okay too! You can have VBS with just your family in the comfort of your home! Just imagine how great it will be to spend time together as a family in God’s word (you might even get to see dad bust out some dance moves to some awesome VBS songs)!
What an amazing opportunity we have this year to reach out to our friends and neighbors and share the Good News with them in a fun way! As well as, a time to grow together in your faith as a family! You will need some space and a TV/Laptop/Ipad, we will provide everything else!
Parents (and grandparents), Deuteronomy 6:6-7 says “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” While I wish so bad that we could have face-to-face VBS and that I could give a big hug to each of the children participating, what a wonderful opportunity we have as parents to impress God’s word on our kids! The WPC Children’s Ministry staff and volunteers will give you everything you need to help guide you in this, whether you are sharing the Good News with just your kids or a group of kids. We will be making packets for each family that you can pick up or have delivered the week of July 20. Then, we will share videos with you the week of July 27 so you can participate in a great week of VBS. Because packets need to be made and distributed ahead of time, you must sign up no later than June 14 (although the earlier you sign up the easier it will be for us).
A nursery is provided for both the 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM Worship Services and Wednesday evenings (September – November and January – April) from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. by paid staff and volunteers from our church family.
PLEASE CHECK IN: Please use the check in kiosk located at the end of the children's ministry hallway.
If you'd like to talk with someone before visiting us, email our Children's Director, Becky Odum.

Wednesdays - Kid's Inc. is held on Wednesday nights from September - November, and January – April (usually ends the week before Spring Break). This year, like last year, we are basing our night around Acts 2:42 “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” We are incorporating all of these things into our evening. We will start with pizza dinner at 5:30 ($2 per child; to make reservations for your kids click here). After dinner, the children will rotate with their class to Bible, Music, and Recreation. Your kids won't want to miss it!
Prayer Partner Ministry
The Prayer Partner Ministry is a new ministry we are starting at WPC. We are praying that people who do not have young kids will sign up and pray for families with young children. We will then pair a young family with this person and ask that they will commit to pray for this family daily and even send little notes occasionally to the kids. We are praying that this will not just be one-sided though. We pray that families will pray for this person as well and even send them little cards or notes and speak to them in church. We would love to see this ministry be one that brings generations together, encourages parents, and surrounds our kids with prayer!
