Meet the Children’s Ministry Summer Intern
Hi everyone! My name is Emily Mahaffey. I am 19 years old, and I have been a member at Westminster for 8 years now. I am a rising sophomore at Anderson University, and I am majoring in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Add-on. I can’t wait to become a teacher one day and love working with kids, so I am so grateful and excited for the opportunity to be the Children’s Ministry Intern this summer!
Super Summer 2021
We have some fun events planned for the summer! These trips are for rising kindergarteners through rising 6th graders, with the exception of one fun event for rising 4-year-old PreK through rising 1st graders. Older or younger siblings are welcome to join any of these events as long as they are accompanied by a parent. If you and/or your child wish to attend, please complete this form at least one week before the event! We greatly appreciate you all volunteering to chaperone and/or help us drive kids to each event if possible. We are so excited for the fun and fellowship to come this summer! SIGN UP HERE »
Sunday Morning (9:30 and 11:00)
Childcare and children's programming is being offered once again at the 9:30 am and 11:00 am services. Will will continue to value the safety of your child and practice healthy distancing and mask-wearing per our cleaning protocols.
Nursery (birth - 3-year-old)
Sunday School (4K - 5th grade)
It would be very helpful if you could let us know if your child(ren) are planning to attend so we can have enough supplies and staff.
We are excited for Kid’s Inc. to start back up on September 8, 2021. There will be a family dinner in the gym from 5:30-6:15. At 6:15 children will be dismissed to go to their classrooms and can be picked up at 7:15.
It would be very helpful if you could let us know if your children are planning to attend so we can have enough supplies and staff.
Providing Spiritual Growth for Individuals with Exceptionalities - 9:30 and 11am. A ministry to provide access for:
Imprint is a ministry for individuals with exceptionalities at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Imprint is a ministry to celebrate Christ’s people in their uniqueness and differences. Our ministry nurtures and leads these individuals to become active members in God’s house, being fully-devoted followers of Christ, integrated in the church, regardless of their ability and physical levels. Contact email@example.com for more.
Prayer Partner Ministry
The Prayer Partner Ministry is a new ministry we are starting at WPC. We are praying that people who do not have young kids will sign up and pray for families with young children. We will then pair a young family with this person and ask that they will commit to pray for this family daily and even send little notes occasionally to the kids. We are praying that this will not just be one-sided though. We pray that families will pray for this person as well and even send them little cards or notes and speak to them in church. We would love to see this ministry be one that brings generations together, encourages parents, and surrounds our kids with prayer!
